So on Thursday we got there. I had plans to have dinner with my sister, Belyn. We were going to this all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ restaurant in Garden Grove. We’re at Spectrum shopping for her dress when I get this call from Fahad saying I’m in huge trouble. Apparently I wasn’t allowed to leave the hotel vicinity even though I had teacher approval. 8 Detentions and 1 Saturday school. Totally worth it. Friday, we presented. I was pretty bummed out about Thursday and I didn’t think we did as well.

That night, we go to Downtown Disney to hang out. Everyone was playing the Go! Game. It’s basically: You have to talk to a girl and if you come up with a random excuse you have to do 10 pushups on the spot. Did that for a couple of hours and I got a Stormtrooper Lego thing with Fahad. Pretty badass.

Saturday was pretty allright. We had a Deca dance and my best friends, Harry, and Navjit ended up not going so we went to play ping pong. Table’s right next to the hot tub and I shit you not. There was a fine ass mamasita sitting in the hot tub with her friends. She notices us coming in, gets out of the pool, lies on her back and starts playing with her watermelons. It was great. Then my friend Hannah and Ana came over. We ended up talking until 2 AM and they just slept in our beds. 2 girls and 1 guy to each bed. Awesome.

Sunday we had our awards ceremony. Our event was called up. One by one it was: Monta Vista. Monta Vista. There are 8 positions. 7 of them were MV. Then I hear the greatest thing ever. “Kim. Lai. Liu.” My partners were sleeping and right when they said our names, we looked at each other, then shit our pants. I couldn’t ask for better people to share that experience with. I love you guys.
